Ba da ba ba bah, I’m lovin’ it.
Getting a Happy Meal as a kid was an exciting treat: forget the food for a moment, what toy would be inside?
Soon, you might be able to relive that experience as an adult as McDonald’s are set to launch Happy Meals for an older generation.
Currently the rollout is limited to branches in the US, but if enthusiasm is strong, maybe it’ll get the green light in other territories.
And if you’re heading to the US anytime soon, stopping for a quick McDonald’s seems like a good idea.
Announcing on Instagram the launch is set for tomorrow, the brand showed what adults can get in one of the special boxes.
A Big Mac or 10 nuggets, a drink and fries, plus a toy – with four collectables from streetwear brand Cactus Plant Flea Market up for grabs.
Already one site is selling the four collectable figurines for an extortionate £98, so expect a frenzy around these limited boxes.
They’re of the McDonald’s mascots: Grimace, the Hamburglar, Birdie, and a Cactus Buddy.
Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA chief marketing and customer experience officer, said: ‘We’re taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald’s experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that’s hyper-relevant for our adult fan.
‘I can’t wait to give fans a unique piece of art and culture as we dive headfirst into the dynamic world of Cactus Plant Flea Market together next week’.
